I would say go for mba..i m on h4, did cpa..nd nw struggling to get even a pass certificate. For ms, i would suggest going for ms in information systems rather than accounting.
Hello Aditi,Based on my experience on the job market and trend i suggest you doing the MBA from any good accredited institute. Bcoz MBA will be like Master degree which most of the jobs require the qualification and also useful for immigration purpose (ex: green card) but CPA its kind of professional course or certificate that help you more if you want to be in accounting jobs or any self business like tax consultant practice but this doesnt have any value with respect immigration purpose or even jobs like where most of the jobs they look Master degree and this doesnt come under that. So i think MBA is unique and it has wider scope to get diff jobs in the market that helps getting in quicker time and you can do CPA anytime once you settled down. Both degree has several oppurtunities.It is up to u what u want to do. If you are very good at numbers and like to play with it go for CPA which is one of the most valued job.There are many people coming out with a MBA degree every year.So it will be challenging to get a right job unless u earn that degree from a good university.This is my opinion,might be wrong.Most likely I m also sailing in the same boat.Im also in H4 visa and trying to join MS in accounting to start my carrier as a CPA.So I am also expecting some suggestions through this discussions.Thanks.
