You can keep checking www.idealist.org for volunteering opportunities in different sectors. Craigslist is also helpful sometimes. I would also recommend searching for non-profits in your neighborhood and writing to them individually. I am on an H4 visa too and have done the same process to look for volunteering opportunities.
